The T-34 was a remarkable tank. It formed the steel backbone of the Red Army’s tank force, and they undeniably contributed to a Soviet victory over German forces. A number of variants appeared during its lifefime. One problem with early T-34 was the inadequate protection given to commanders in their turrets. With the large hatches, the commanders exposed them to a great deal of peril on the battlefield. The Mod.1943 provided the commander with a cupola for the first time. This 1/72 Mod.1943 kit includes such precise cupola and also the correct features of a Mod.1943 has.
